Overseas Pakistani Legal & Allied Services (Oplas.legal) – PRO BONO PROGRAM
We at Overseas Pakistani Legal & Allied Services (Oplas.legal) takes great provide in rending quality legal services to all our clients based on trust and deliverance. Our dedication to client’s interests means that we strive for legal excellence along with appreciation of the environment in which our clients operate.
Beside of the provision of highly competitive legal services, it is a part of our objective and philosophy to ensure that the segments of the society which are unbale to afford legal representation are competently represented before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums; and for such purpose we have assembled a team of highly capable attorneys all over Pakistan, who are extending quality legal services on pro-bono basis for those amongst vulnerable populations and moderate means. Whether providing legal advice through local law centers and clinics or assisting charities and non-profits by offering assistance on legal matters, we provide our pro bono clients with the same high standards of client service as our fee-paying clients.
As a part of our practice, a potential pro bono matter is reviewed and evaluated to determine whether, among other things, it provides direct legal service to an individual or organization unable to pay for the service and advances law reform or would benefit the public interest. We interpret the latter criterion broadly to accommodate the wide spectrum of areas and segments. For the last many years, Overseas Pakistani Legal & Allied Services (Oplas.legal) lawyers have accepted unpopular and challenging cases, participating in pro bono activities ranging from death penalty litigation to civil rights to individual civil matters for low income, disabled and other people who are disadvantaged.
Our work benefits the individuals we serve, the public at large, and the development of our lawyers’ skills and sense of professionalism and public service. Overseas Pakistani Legal & Allied Services (Oplas.legal) receives pro bono referrals from public interest groups and organizations, other members of the bar, clients and individuals who are aware of our reputation in this area. Similarly, donors to our pro-bono services include individual, organization and groups from wide spectrum of the society, who in order to promote the wellbeing and justice in the society, support and promote, financially and by other means, our pro-bono program.
